Have just returned from a week staying on Linwater - WHAT A LOVELY SITE. The facilities are very clean and modern and the pitches are very spacious. Jean is so cheerful and helpful. I would have no hesitation recommending this site to anyone and would definitely stay there if in the area again. Thank you

Had a wonderful week at Linwater. Not being a camper myself, not having grown up with it, I didn't know what to expect. But after a week, I can say, it shouldn't be a problem coming 2 weeks next year, so we can spend more time with the family who live in the area. Jean is very helpful and enthusiastic and a hard worker. The site looks brilliant and clean. Well taken care off. So thanks Jean and see you next year.
Well what a wonderful time we all had at Linwater with the most welcoming owner Jean who is so friendly and helpful and keeps a perfectly clean site . A real pleasure to stay there and the weather was fab too! We will return without a doubt and wanted to say a big thank you to Jean and her family for all the hard work they do: fresh flowers in the spotless wash-rooms,washing up liquid and cloths at the kichen sinks. Oh and not to forget one of our high-lights of "Miss Piggy" wallowing in the mud with her 9 little piglets!!! Magic !! Thank you once again and see you next year Jean!
Over the last few years, me, Dave and our ever growing daughter Kiara, have stayed on numerous different sites, some bigger than Linwater and some smaller, but I don't think we have ever stayed anywhere else where we have been made so welscome. Nothing is too much trouble for Jean, who is a mine of local knowledge. Even the almost constant aeroplanes landing and taking off from nearby Edinburgh airport were barely noticeable, in fact they added a constant source of entertainment for Kiara who turned into a regular "plane-spotter" for the duration of our stay. I think I can safely say that having stayed for a week this year, we'll be back next year for longer!!
This was my first visit to Linwater,but it won't be our last.The site is one of the best I have been on,the toilets are spotless,and the general appearance of the site is just wonderfull.The pitches are flat and spacious and easy to park on.I must thank the site owners son who gave us a jump start when we discovered our battery was flat.The site owners are so friendly,and the lady (Jean) never stope smiling and has a kind word for everybody.This is one very friendly site to stay on.

We, a party consisting of two vans have just spent the May bank holiday at Linwater and felt we must comment on the excellence of the site. This was our first visit and Jean made all of us feel very welcome, so I am sure it will not be our only visit to Linwater. The site is ideally located and offers the perfect cravanning experience. Facilities with many unexpected extras, grass that would be the envy of any keen gardener,and pitches with more space than the shuttle. All accompanied with pleasant local walks and or cycling not a stones throw from your van.

just remembered i could leave some well deserved feedback - we have been twice in the last year, just for the weekend, we have never been disappointed and enjoy everything about the site-very clean and well kept, great to have the dog walking areas too-buddy appreciates it! the timber tents are fab, also very clean. thank you Jean, keep up the good work
Just back from a great weekend break at Linwater. Although weather not so good we had good time. Site is peaceful and facilities are spotless! Look forward to going back next holiday weekend.
Having found Jeans's website I would just like to say that we have been annoying Jean for the past 10 years at least 4 times a year and extra weekends and we have never received anything but a warm welcome and a happy stay, lots have things have happened over the years, people falling over, pigs excaping, lambs been born a certain silly dog getting stuck in a fence, going out for walks getting lost, each of the Fife clique has celebrated many a special birthday over there and we even had the cliques 20th Anniversary there last year. I sometimes go and stay for a week myself and know that I am safe and help is always at hand. I have booked to go next weekend and I cant' wait.
great caravan park stayed twice now whilst on our travels up and down fantastic and spotlessly clean disabled facilities thanks jean great family they cant do enough for you,cant wait to visit again next year see you soon jean

Excellent site. I have been going for years and I have seen all the changes over the years. Keep going back as it is such a great site and you get a nice and friendly welcome.
at linwater you always get a friendly welcome it is the only site i visit more than once a season it is perfect for shopping at the almondvale the toilets are immaculate and it is great that you know you get your basics delivered without havin to jump in the car just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility
Just finished cleaning and packing away tent, sleeping bags etc.. Only stayed the one night after cycling out from Edinburgh but had to leave a comment to say what a fantastic site you have, I've never been made to feel so welcome at any campsite before. Thank you.
Also, Jean, how do you manage to keep the shower/toilet block free of all the usual bugs and beasties that every other campsite has in them??
Have just returned from another lovely visit to Linwater. Jean and her family are so helpful particularly this time with a lost cat, thanks to them the cat was found safe & well and returned to her owners where she belonged.
Yet again, for the third year running, we have experienced the most wonderful hospitality at Linwater. Thank you, Jean! I think the weather was slightly better this year but, you know, it really doesn't matter on this site because the atmosphere is always sunny...in three years we have only found one other site to equal it!(and that was an Adults Only!)See you next year!
